ABOUT US
Roundabout Playgroup opened in 1968. We are a small, friendly setting at Wick Hall in
Littlehampton, West Sussex. We have 24 places per morning for ages 2-5 years. We are open from
9am to 12noon, Monday to Friday, term time only.
We have a minimum of 5 staff members each morning and our staff have many years of experience in childcare and education. All staff are parents and hold Level 2 or 3 Qualifications in childcare and education.
Our children enjoy a wide range of enjoyable, stimulating activities helping them to improve their skills in all areas of development in preparation for school.
We have a fully enclosed, safe outside area which we enjoy all year round.
Suzy Hellyer
Suzy is our manager, owner and Safeguarding Lead. She has worked in childcare and education since 2008 and gained her level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce in 2012. She joined us as a supervisor in 2016 and holds a paediatric first aid certificate.
Suzy has 2 daughters
Tracey Mockeridge
Tracey Mockeridge helped at local schools before joining us in 2001. She gained her N.V.Q. Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education in 2003, when she became a Supervisor.
Tracey holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate and is our S.E.N.C.O.
She has 3 children.
Sarah Lugard
Sarah Lugard gained her Level 3 Diploma in Childcare in 2004 and has had many years of experience, working in a forest school for four years before moving to Littlehampton in 2019.
She holds a paediatric first aid certificate, outdoor learning lead certificate and a Makaton foundation certificate.
Sarah joined us as a supervisor in 2022, she has 2 dogs, 4 boys and 4 grandchildren.
Sarah loves being outdoors and having fun.
Michelle Scholey
Michelle gained her Level 3 Early years Care & Education qualification in 2005. She has been working in childcare and education since 2003 and joined us as a Supervisor in November 2022.
She holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Michelle has 2 sons.
Catherine Langrish
Catherine has been working in childcare and education since 2009. She gained her Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools in October 2020. Catherine joined us as an assistant in January 2023 and holds a paediatric first aid certificate. She enjoys taking her two children to visit different places.
Gina Ellis
Gina gained her Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce (Early Years Educator) in 2019.
She had worked in childcare and education since 2014 before joining us as a supervisor in September 2023.
She holds a paediatric first aid certificate.
Gina has 4 sons and a daughter and her hobby is watercolour painting.
Lisa Lawrence
Lisa started working with children under 5 in 2009 and gained her Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (Early Years Educator) in 2019. She joined us as a supervisor in September 2023. Lisa holds current Level 2 Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid Certificates. She also holds a Makaton Foundation certificate.
Lisa has 2 grown up sons and 3 jack Russell terriers. She enjoys exploring the South Downs on her horses where her appalling sense of direction frequently gets her lost.
Amy Kingston
Amy has worked in childcare and education since 2010, as well as working in a nursery as a chef for 8 years. She gained her level 2 certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce in 2012. Amy is our bank staff member and joined us in May 2023. Amy has 2 daughters and enjoys spending time outside with her dogs and her horse.
